SENSIRION SPS30 Digital Particulate Matter Sensor

Specifications

Product Introduction

The SPS30 is a Sensirion laser-scattering OPC particulate matter sensor that uses a fan to draw in air and the principle of laser particle scattering to detect dust. It outputs particle count and PM1.0/PM2.5/PM4/PM10 mass concentrations. It is factory-calibrated using TSI standard instruments + KCl aerosol according to unified standards. It is suitable for applications such as air purifiers, indoor air monitoring, and smart homes. Through accelerated aging tests, it can simulate a 10-year indoor usage scenario.

Features

  • Optical particle counter based on laser scattering technology
  • Provides real-time particle count and mass concentration values
  • Calibrated using high-end reference instruments for minimal batch-to-batch variation
  • Specified with precision as the main sensor specification
  • Calibration precision defined as device-to-device variation
  • Long-term drift considered as part of precision specification
  • Measurement method uses decaying aerosol concentration transient
  • Time-averaged concentration extraction for precision evaluation

Applications

  • Air quality monitoring
  • Commercial product integration
  • Environmental sensing systems
  • Industrial dust monitoring
  • HVAC and ventilation control
